Recreational/Non-Contact Boxing and Fitness Training

“Recreational Boxing Training Classes”. These classes are aimed at anyone, men, women and children of all ages who would like to try their hand at boxing and acheive the fitness and skill required in a purely recreational and social way. The sessions include bag work, skipping, pads, technique, circuits etc. Supervised sparring will also be available if anyone wishes to undertake, but this is by no means compulsory. Apart from acheiving a great level of fitness you will gain confidence and learn self defence techniques. You will train at your own level. The coaches, who are all qualified and CRB checked will try and push you as much as possible, but will allow anyone to sit out of a section of training if they are feeling fatigued. All equipment is available for your use but we do recommend you purchase hand wraps, a gumshield is compulsory if sparring. These can be purchased from the club along with other boxing equipment. So there can be no more excuses!

A mixture of cardio, strength and toning….a bit of everything to get or keep you fit and healthy – circuits, bootcamp drills, a little bit of boxing – with the focus on having fun whilst you exercise and NO Shouting!
All fitness levels welcome, harder/easier options will be given so you can work at your own level.

Strength & Conditioning Class
Core Stability & Weight Circuits 
Due to public demand Islington Boxing club are now able to offer a specialist Strength & Conditioning class. The aim of this class is to supplement the already strenuous boxing training regime. Through a series of diverse exercises Aarron Morgan and Jermaine Kelly will try to build a stronger, faster you. The powerlifts are aimed towards giving you that knockout explosiveness. While the dumbbell circuits try to provide that last second stamina. This class is increasingly growing in popularity. Come down and see what all the hype is about.
