ISCA Infants Boxing Classes (for 5-8 year olds)
In 2015, after numerous enquiries from parents, the Management of Islington Community Sports Academy agreed to set up and run Infants Boxing Classes for children aged from five years old to eight year olds.
The class became very popular quickly and the children look forward to attending the classes each week.
The Coaches teach the children basic boxing skills, including foot work, techniques and bag work to name but a few! The Infant classes are operated by Islington Community Sports Academy and all the coaches are are all qualified England Boxing Coaches, all have been enhanced DBS checked, First Aid trained and have participated in the required Safeguarding Courses. The ICSA Infants are the youngest age group and this is now a pathway to competitive boxing with the Islington Boxing Club junior competitive team.
To participate in our ICSA Infant Boxing classes, your child must be a member of the Club. We do not offer trials or non-membership tariffs.
On your child’s first visit to the Club (and annually) you as their parent will be required to complete a basic application form which can be downloaded from the link below. Alternatively, you can complete the same form on arrival to the Club, if this is your preferred option we recommend that you arrive at least ten/fifteen minutes early for your first session to avoid your child missing the start of the class.
We supply boxing gloves for the Infants, alternatively you can purchase their own gloves from the Club. You will also require gel gloves (slip on hand wraps) and a gum shield; these are also available to purchase from the Club.
All of our classes need to be pre booked and paid for in advance via our booking website.
All our memberships are per calendar year (January – December) and are renewable from December for the following year.
